HELP ME!!!!

September 28th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

I have six minutes to write a blog that Mr. Bailey thinks is okay. I don’t know what to write, so I think I am just going to stall. This morning in gym we played atomic soccer, which is indoor soccer, but with three balls, and after a goal is scored, you just play on. It was really fun, except I must have gotten hit with the ball at least 23 times. I say 23 because that’s Beckham’s number. Beckham is a really good soccer player, but he is really cocky, but I still love him!

early morning soccer

August 27th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

This summer we had four tournaments. We didn’t even make it to the semi finals for the first one, and we got second place at the second one, and we won first place for the third one. My team has never won a tournament before, we were so happy. The fourth one was the State Cup, the most important one. We did a lot of conditioning so we would be ready, wich means we did a lot of running, a lot. All of  our games were at 8 in the morning every day, and at tournaments we have to be at our games an hour early. So to prepare, we had to be at soccer practice in soldotna at 7:50 in the morning! During State, I had to get up at 5 in the morning! That was torture!!

Also this summer, we had a proffesional coach come up here and have training sessions with all the Kenai teams. When we had practice with him, it was 2 and a half  hours long. But he did give us long water breaks, and we played a lot of fun games that actually helped us a lot!

I am very proud of my team for all of the progress that we made this year! Go Riptide!

Also this summer I got to go fishing for reds in the Kenai. It was a lot of fun. They would bring the fish up in the net and my job was to help get the fish out of the net and into the fish box. Once the fish was in the fish box, if it was still flopping a lot, then I got to hit them on the head. Then we cut off the tips of the fins and slice the gills. One of the fish was flopping so much that it pushed the lid of the fish box up and jumped out of the boat! But then it just swam right into our net again. And earlier that day one of my relatives was throwing the fish into the fish box, and one time he threw right off the boat! We jokingly made fun of him for the rest of the day, but then they blamed it on me that the other fish got away.
